Tasting Notes 5-15

Thanks for all your support this past Friday, I think both our Baracchi tasting and the Maymont event were fantastic! We’ve got a nice seasonal tasting lined up for you this Thursday from 4-7 tomorrow – May 15, 2008:

The Menu…
2007 Pampano Rueda – this wine is racy and bursting with youthful exuberance. Viura and Verdelho present citrus and fresh acidity to this summer staple, $10.

2007 Obivo Malbec – the deep violet colour and an array of red and black fruits make this easy drinker our latest $8 or 6 for $40 deal.

2003 Chateau d’Or et de Gueules, The Shield – A French blend of Syrah, Carignan, and Grenache that is simply badass. This red is fruit packed and layered with smokey, gamey notes and herbs. The Shield will delight and broaden the palate, $16.
